While the supply of 7075 plate remains challenging due to the constant demand from the aerospace industry, Schupan Aluminum Sales will be receiving 7075 plate in mid to late December of this year. We will be stocking the following thicknesses: 1 1/2", 2", 3", 4", and 6".
Alcoa Mill Products produced this plate at their Kittsgreen, England facility. As with all Schupan Aluminum inventory, this plate will be certified. It will meet all ASTM B209 QQA/AMS 250/12 requirements, but will not be ultrasonically tested.
7075 is heat treatable and offers the highest strength in comparison to all other aluminum alloys. In general it is used for highly stressed structural parts. Typical uses would include, automotive bumpers, ski poles, lacrosse sticks, tooling and jig applications in harsh or heavy wear environments, molds, and defense products.
