1968 Schupan & Sons, Inc., begins with Scrap Industrial Recycling division, marketing on a regional, national and international level
1978 Aluminum Sales division opens, distributing mill products
1986 Schupan Recycling, a beverage container recycling division, is established and by 1993, one billion aluminum cans were recycled
1989 Dana Metals division in Elkhart, IN begins operation
1990 Schupan Recycling facility in Holland, MI begins operation
1992 Schupan Recycling facility in Wixom, MI. begins operation
1993 Aluminum sales facility in Grand Rapids, MI begins operation
1994 Schupan Recycling facility in Grand Rapids, MI begins operation
1995 Industrial Scrap Recycling division in Elkhart, IN begins operation
1995 Chicago Brokerage office opens
1997 Started U.S. largest-volume beverage container recycling program with Norwegian partner, TOMRA, in Howell, MI

2004 Schupan Recycling moves its West Michigan operation to a new state-of-the-art facility in Wyoming, MI
2005 Industrial Scrap Recycling purchases additional building in Kalamazoo near Miller Road location to expand scrap recycling operations
2006 Schupan Recycling opens new multi-million dollar facility in Milford, MI and combines the Howell and Wixom operation at the Milford location
2007 All Schupan & Sons, Inc. business units become ISO 9001:2000 certified
2008 Schupan & Sons, Inc. celebrates 40 years of “Recycling Excellence”!
