MISSION Schupan Recycling is the largest recycler of (Carbonated) Deposit Beverage Containers in the State of Michigan. Schupan and TOMRA, NA have teamed up in an effort to increase awareness, promote, educate and improve the recycling rate of non carbonated beverage containers throughout the State of Michigan and beyond.
Non Carbonated containers are the fastest growing segment of all beverage sales approximately 27% in 2006.
Americans go through 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour.
Recycling one ton of plastic containers can save 1 - 2 thousand gallons of gas and 7.4 cubic yards of landfill space.
