In our industry, we are considered one of the premier companies because of our expertise in aluminum. Our volumes in aluminum rank us as one of the leading processors in the United States.

Division History

My father, Nelson Schupan, believed to grow and be a successful company, you needed to have the most satisfied customers—he was absolutely correct! Our best salesmen are our customers. “We truly believe if you do business with us once, you will do business with us again.” As a company, we are never satisfied with what we did yesterday, but how can we be an even better company today and tomorrow for our customers.

A favorite quote years ago used by one of our managers was, “the man with the best army wins”. Attracting the most talented and dedicated people is another key component of why the company has been successful over the years.

Growing to Better Serve Our Customers

1968 - Metals buying and processing operation opens in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

1989 - Metals buying service opens in Elkhart, Indiana.

1994 - Full service metals buying of processing operation opens in Elkhart, Indiana. Including "drive through" retail buying

2005 - Full service "drive through" retail buying operation opens in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
The company focus is nonferrous and ferrous metals, but also has the capacity to help our customers with numerous non-metal commodities that can be recycled.
