Company History
From a modest beginning in 1968, my father, Nelson Schupan, believed to grow and be a successful company, you needed to have the most satisfied customers—he was absolutely correct! Our best salesmen are our customers. “We truly believe if you do business with us once, you will do business with us again.” As a company, we are never satisfied with what we did yesterday, but how can we be an even better company today and tomorrow for our customers.
A favorite quote years ago used by one of our managers was, “the man with the best army wins”. Attracting the most talented and dedicated people is another key component of why the company has been successful over the years.
The company currently has seven processing facilities throughout Michigan, with one in Indiana, along with a brokerage office in Chicago.
The company focus is nonferrous and ferrous metals, but also has the capacity to help our customers with numerous non-metal commodities that can be recycled.
