Schupan Recycling is a processor and marketer of Used Beverage Containers (UBCs) including aluminum cans, plastic bottles (PET), and glass bottles. We operate multiple processing facilities that recycle billions of cans and bottles for soft drink wholesalers and beer wholesalers throughout the state of Michigan. Schupan's capabilities have established the company as one of the largest independent purchasers and marketers of UBCs in the nation.

Since our beginning in 1985, Schupan Recycling has transformed the way beverage containers are recycled:
- Step 1: We began by developing an on-site, comprehensive densification program for beverage wholesalers in Michigan.
- Step 2: We developed a system for processing distributor bags of aluminum cans and PET.
- Step 3: Schupan serves as a marketer of aluminum cans and PET in Michigan and abroad. We pride ourselves on fair and honest pricing, thorough advanced computer system documentation, and competitive bids based on overall market conditions.
- Step 4: A unique organization called UBCR, LLC, a joint venture between Schupan & Sons, Inc., and TOMRA of North America, was established in 1998. UBCR operates as a single source solution for the collection, transportation and processing of aluminum cans, PET and glass beverage containers from Michigan’s largest retailers.
